Phish is a band formed in Burlington, Vermont, United States in 1983. The group members are Trey Anastasio, Page McConnell, Mike Gordon, and Jon Fishman. Rock and funk are their musical specialties, and their style is progressive rock, psychedelic rock, jam band, American trad rock, alternative/indie rock, neo-psychedelia, alternative pop/rock, and fusion. Phish emerged in the early ’90s as heirs to the Grateful Dead’s throne because of the similarities in the sounds. Phish is known for its free-form rock mixed with a bit of folk, jazz, country, pop, and more. Some of their song highlights are “Mike’s Song”, “Weekapaug Groove”, “Chalk Dust Torture”, “Down With Disease”, “AC/DC Bag”, and many more. In 2008, they received the Jammys Lifetime Achievement Award.
