Pink Sweat$, born as David Bowden (February 14, 1992) is an American R&B singer and songwriter and is a Philadelphia native. Pink Sweats is known for his 2018 hit, ‘Honesty’, with a massive 130 million plays on Spotify, off his EP album, ‘Volume 1 EP’. Pink first began to dabble in music at renowned Sound Sigma Studios as a demo vocalist. He began producing and song-writing for artists such as MAX, Tierra Whack and Florida Georgia Line. He debuted his beautiful vocals and R&B heartfelt ballads on YouTube with his music video for ‘Honesty’, reaching 29 million views. According to Pink Sweat$ himself, he thought he would only be a songwriter. It was not until his deathly experience with Achalasia that he began to dedicate himself to his true passion to sing and create his own music. He also states in an interview with the Guardian that the songs for ‘Volume 1 EP’ were created for other artists but Pink decided to to keep them for his own, as they were too personal to him. Music blog DJBooth regards the 28 year-old artist to be “the most miraculous singer of 2018”. Pink released his second EP, ‘Volume 2 EP’, with his second biggest hit, ‘Coke & Henny, Pt. 2’, with 22 million plays on Spotify. The rising star is praised for his stripped-down R&B sound and has been featured on Rolling Stone for ‘Honesty’.
