The punk rock band Pinkshift got its start in Baltimore, which is also where one can catch them performing. They write songs that draw influence from grunge music of the 1990s and 2000s, pop punk music of the 2000s, and modern interpretations of the foundations of riot grrl music. Likewise, they want their music to be able to convey the range of emotions that come with leading a typical life, including the highs and lows that come with them. The band's most recent single is titled "I'm Gonna Tell My Therapist On You," and they have plans to soon release an EP that will feature rapid-fire verses, silly yelling, whiny choruses, and heavy breakdowns. Furthermore, the @pinkshiftmd Instagram account has garnered over 16,000 followers.
