Pomme (full name Claire Pommet) is a French singer and songwriter born 2 August 1996, in Lyon, France. Pomme is best known for her unique style that mixes the chanson and folk music. Claire Pommet began her musical development at the age of 6, when she started her musical theory education, and joined a children's choir, at the age of 7. Her early childhood influences include famous chansone artists such Michel Polnareff, Serge Reggiani, and Charles Aznavour, while her love of folk music came from a family friend that introduced her to the genre. In September of 2017, in Paris, Pommet had her first performance at La Boule Noire. After that, the up-and-coming artist released her first chansone album, titled À peu près; it was described as a mixture of pop and folk, while Pommet got generally positive reviews for her singing, approach, and originality. Her other studio albums include Les failles (2019) and Les failles cachées (2020). Pomme's released a series of notable singles such as Même robe qu'hier (2017), Je sais pas danser (2019), and Anxiété (2019).
