Poorna Jagannathan Bio

Poorna Jagannathan is an American actress and producer best known for her work in film and television. She was born in Tunis, Tunisia, on December 22, 1972. Poorna began her screen acting career in the early 2000s with appearances in the TV series Law & Order and the comedy film She Hate Me. She is best known for starring in the Netflix series Never Have I Ever Alongside Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Darren Barnet, Lee Rodriguez, and Richa Moorjani. She has also appeared in the TV series Defending Jacob, Messiah, Big Little Lies, Ramy, Better Call Saul, The Night Of, and Gypsy. Poorna has won a L'Oreal Femina Women Awards for Breakthrough Performance and an Annual Kamala Pasand Max Stardust Award for Breakthrough Supporting Performance. Her filmography includes the titles Mile 22, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Delhi Belly.
