Prefuse 73 is the stage name of Guillermo Scott Herren who was born in Miami, Florida. He became a part of the group Risil. In 2011, he released his debut album, Vocal Studies + Uprock Narratives. This was followed by another studio album One Word Extinguisher in 2003, Surrounded by Silence in 2005, and Preparations in 2007. In 2007, Prefuse 73 dropped two albums Everything She Touched Turned Ampexian and Meditation Upon Meditations (The Japanese Diaries). In 2019, he released the four-track EP Every Off Key Beat which includes the title track along with the Circuit Breaker Beat featuring Leb Laze, Popstar Beat, and No Vibes Beat. In the same year, he released the album Fudge Beats which contains the tracks in his EP. Popular tracks off this release include I Think Imma Beat and These Saturdays Beat.
