Geoffrey Royce Rojas was born on May 11, 1989 in the Bronx, New York. He is best known as Prince Royce. Royce became interested in music at his early age, and he started working on music and poetry during his teenage years. He is a vocalist and guitarist. Sergio George was introduced to Prince Royce’s demos and decided to sign him to his record label. Royce’s music genres are Latin pop, bachata, and R&B.
His debut studio album was released in March 2010. The album featured two songs – “Stand by Me” and “Corazón Sin Cara” – which both topped the Billboard Tropical Songs Chart while the second one also topped US Hot Latin Songs chart. He was nominated at 2011 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA): for Best Latino Artist for the video “Corazon Sin Cara.” His debut album got him three awards at Billboard Latin Music Awards. Royce’s second album titled Phase II also topped the US Latin Albums and Tropical Albums charts. His second and third album was nominated for Latin Grammy Award for Best Tropical Fusion Album.
