Prong Bio

Formed in 1986, Prong came from New York City. It is an American hardcore punk/rock band. Members Tommy Victor, Mike Kirkland, and Ted Parsons formed the Prong in mid-80s. As a trio, their independent releases are entitled “Primitive Origins” and “Force Fed.” In 1990s, they were signed under Epic having an album release entitled “Bed to Differ.” By then, the Prong became a highly technical thrash metal band.

In 1991, Troy Gregory replaced Kirkland for the album “Prove You Wrong” having the single “Unconditional.” Then, Gregory was replaced by Paul Raven, adding the keyboard player John Bechdel for the album “Cleansing” in 1994. In 1996, Prong disbanded after the release of “Rude Awakening.” The band reformed in 2000 releasing an album entitled “100% Live.”
