Public Bio
PUBLIC is an American Pop/Rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio. It is made up of original members John Vaughn, the lead vocalist and guitarist, and Ben Lapps, who plays the drums; as well as Matt Alvarado, the newest member of the band, who plays the bass, does synthesizing and backup vocals. In 2012, they released their first EP, called ‘Red’. The album was well received and opened the doo Matt Alvarado rs for the band to start opening and supporting bands like Twenty One Pilots and Walk the Moon, and playing in South by Southwest (SXSW) and Bunbury. Their second EP is called ‘Let’s Make It’, and it led to them starting to work with producer Eric Palmquist in Los Angeles, CA. In 2015 they received critical acclaim for their single, Heartbeating. From there, they released a third EP, ‘Sweet Lemonade’ in 2015 as well and an album in 2019 called “Make You Mine”.
