Purity Ring is the name of the Canadian Electronic pop band formed in Edmonton, Alberta in 2010 by Megan James as vocalist, and Corin Roddick, as the multi-instrument player and producer. They had previously started their musical careers in the band Gobble Gobble. Their first album as a duo, “Shrines” was released in 2012, after they signed with the label 4AD. The album was well received by the critics, besides reaching number 32 on the Billboard 200 and selling over 90,000 copies in the US by 2015. That very same year, they released “Another Eternity” their second album which charted at number 25 on the Canada Albums Charts and number 26 on the Billboard 200. The duo are regular performers at major electronic music festivals like Coachela in California, and Forest Festival. In 2017, the band co-wrote and produced three songs for Katy Perry’s album “Witness”
