Q’orianka Kilcher is a German/Peruvian actress and singer who was born on February 11, 1990, in Schweigmatt, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. She was raised in Hawaii and began her acting career at just 10 years old when she made her big-screen debut with a small part in the famous movie “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, starring Jim Carrey. In 2005 she jumped to fame as she gave life to Pocahontas in the movie “The New World”, opposite Colin Farrell and Christopher Plummer. For this role, she received seven nominations in both American and international awards, from which she ended up winning two: the ALMA Award in the category Outstanding Actress in a motion picture and the NBR Award in the category Breakthrough Performance by an Actress. In 2009 she starred in the movie “Princess Ka'iulani” as the main character, thanks to which she continued winning awards, this time at the Native American Film Festival of The Southeast as best actress and the Invisible Woman Award at the Women Film Critics Circle Awards. She also participated in the famous series “Sons of Anarchy” and “The Alienist”.
