R5 Bio

R5 was an American pop rock band formed in 2009 in Los Angeles, California by the brothers Ross Lynch, Riker Lynch, Rocky Lynch, Rydel Lynch and their best friend Ellington Ratliff. In March 2010, they released the EP, “Ready Set Rock”. In April 2012, the band announced through their website that they had signed a record deal with Hollywood Records. R5’s second extended work, “Loud”, was released during the next year. The band’s first full-length album, “Louder”, was also released in 2013. They won the Next Big Thing Awards and the Radio Disney Music Awards in 2014. The following year they made their first world tour “Louder Tour” which was captured on video and released as a documentary called “All Day All Night”. That same year they released their second studio album, “Sometime Last Night”. In 2018, three members of the band decided to take a break, so Ross Lynch and Rocky Lunch formed the duo The Driver Era.
