Rachel Roberts Bio
Rachel Roberts was a Welsh actress who lived from September 20, 1927, to November 26, 1980.
She is most known for her roles as the older mistress of the principal male character in the films Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (1960) and This Sporting Life (1961).
She won the BAFTA Award for Best British Actress for both films. For This Sporting Life, she was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. Murder on the Orient Express (1974), Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975), and Yanks were among her other major cinematic roles (1979).
