Raekwon Bio
Raekwon, also known by his birth name Corey Woods, was born on January 12, 1970, in Brooklyn, New York, United States. In 1992 he started his rap career when he joined the Hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan. In 1993 the hip hop group released their debut album “Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)”. Time after he decided to record as a solo artist so in 1994 he released his debut single “Heaven and Hell”, and in 1995 he released his debut album “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx”, both through Loud Label. During the next years, he continued participating in the Wu-Tang group but also making solo material. He is known as one of the precursors of the Mafioso rap genre.
