Rahul Dravid Bio

Rahul Dravid is a cricket coach and former cricketer born on 11th January 1973 in Madhya Pradesh, India. He is currently the head coach of the Indian national team. He previously held the position of Head of Cricket at the NCA (National Cricket Academy). He is known for his outstanding sound batting technique, and he’s recognized for being one of the best batsmen in the history of the game.

Dravid started playing cricket at a young age and went on to play for the U-15, U-17, and U-19 setups. His Indian Premier League (IPL) includes a stint with the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. His World Cup debut came against South Africa. He also made his ODI debut in April 1996 against Sri Lanka, while his Test debut was against England in 1996. In 2000, he was named the player of the year by the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanac.
