Rain City Drive Bio
Slaves is an American post-hardcore band formed in Sacramento, California, in 2014. It consists of vocalist Jonny Craig, guitarists Christopher Kim and Alex Lyman, bassist Jason Mays, and drummer Tai Wright. Craig was a frontman in post-hardcore bands Emarosa and Dance Gavin Dance, while Wright had participated in the band Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows. Their full-length debut came with “Through Art We Are All Equals” also in 2014, after touring the U.S. Their second LP went out a year later, titled “Routine Breathing”, and shortly after, bassist Mays was replaced by Colin Vieira. In 2018 the group underwent some more lineup changes and released its third album “Beautiful Death” as a trio consisting of Craig, bassist Vieira and guitarist Weston Richmond.
