Rainbow is a rock band from London and Los Angeles. The band was formed in 1975, and its current members include guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, backing vocalist Candice Night, lead vocalist Ronnie Romero, Jens Johansson, bassist/backing vocalist Bob Nouveau, and drummer David Keith. They released their debut album, “Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow” in 1975. Their second studio album, “Rising”, was released in 1976.
Two years later, they dropped their third album, “Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll”, under the Polydor record label. It was the last album to feature the band’s lead vocalist Ronnie James Dio. In 1979, they dropped their fourth album, “Down to Earth”. It was the band’s last album to feature Cozy Powell. In 1981, they released the album “Difficult to Cure”, followed by the album “Straight Between the Eyes” in 1982. Other albums released by the band include “Bent Out of Shape” in 1983 and “Stranger in Us All” in 1995.
