Raja Kumari is an Indian-American hip-hop artist, rapper, singer and songwriter. Called ‘hip-hop royalty’ by Entrepreneur magazine, Kumari was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2015 and has also won a BMI Pop Award for her songwriting in 2016, and was nominated for Best India Act for the MTV European Music Awards three times. She is best known for collaborating with artists like Fall Out Boy in singles like “Centuries”, and other artists such as Gwen Stefani, Lindsey Stirling and others. and her award-studded songwriting career. She has released several singles, along with a mixtape called ‘Curry Sauce Vol. 1’ in 2016, and two EPs: ‘The Come Up’ in 2016, and ‘Bloodline’ in 2019. Kumari has also become a media personality, hosting the AMA pre-show, and starring in MTV Hustle. She was born as Svetha Yellapragada Rao on January 11, 1986 in Claremont, California.
