Rasheed Wallace is an athlete born on 17th September 1974 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. He is a former professional basketball player and the current coach for the Memphis Tigers. He attended Simon Gratz High School, where he also started his basketball career. He won the USA Today’s High School Player of the Year. His career in high school was a success. Wallace played college basketball for the University of North Carolina. In 1995, he helped the team to reach the NCAA Final Four.
He started his professional career in the same year after being selected by the Washington Bullets in the fourth overall pick of the 1995 NBA draft. After a season with the Bullets, he was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers. He later moved to the Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons, and Boston Celtics before ending his career with the New York Knicks. He started his coaching career with the Detroit Pistons in July 2013. He later moved to Jordan High School and then to the Memphis Tigers.
