Ratt is an American band that was formed in 1983 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, United States. The group was initially called Mickey Ratt and evolved into Ratt in 1983. The founding members of the band included vocalist Stephen Pearcy, guitarist Robbin Crosby, guitarist Warren DeMartini, bassist Juan Croucier, and drummer Bobby Blotzer.
The band signed with Atlantic Records and released their debut album Ratt in 1983. With that done, Out of the Cellar was released in 1984 to set the stage for their big hit. Out of the Cellar was still a remarkable album reaching the American Top Ten selling over 3M copies. The single Round and Round was a blockbuster. It hit #12 on the charts and made the band's fame explode. While 1985’s Invasion of Your Privacy couldn’t make some impressive sales numbers, it still reached the Top Ten and sold over a million copies.
The band later released Dancin’ Undercover in 1986, Reach for the Sky in 1988, Collage in 1997, and Infestation in 2010.
