Ravi Shastri Bio

Ravi Shastri, a famous Indian cricketer and sports personality, was born on May 27, 1962 in the city of Mumbai in India. In addition to being a cricket commentator and a former captain of the Indian cricket team, he also served as the head coach of the Indian cricket team in the past. Ravi Shastri began his career in cricket as a spin bowler and ended it as an all-rounder. He played for the Indian team from 1981 until 1992 and participated in both One-Day Internationals and Test Matches. In 1985, during the World Championship of Cricket held in Australia, he competed and won the Champion of Champions award. During the 1994–1995 season of the Ranji Trophy, Shastri famously captained the Bombay team to victory. Additionally, during the 1985 season of first-class cricket, he tied a record by hitting six sixes in one over.
