Born in Muswell Hill, London, England on June 21, 1944, Ray Davies is a rock musician who also happens to be the lead singer of the rock band The Kinks. Knicks has been active during the 60s and he also served as the group’s chief songwriter.
Davies single handedly took care of the soundtrack for Return to Waterloo, a film released in 1985. The band’s activity was reduced in the 90s and Davies went on to pursue different projects such as the memoir X-ray. He also released a collection of short stories, Storyteller. He released an album of the same name in 1998. In 2005, he released Thanksgiving Day, an EP, whose net proceeds were given to the music education programs in New Orleans. He released Americana in 2017 and Prince Charles knighted him during the same year. He released Our Country: Americana Act 2 in 2018.
