Rebecca Caroline Ferguson, popularly known as Rebecca Ferguson, is a British singer-songwriter known as the runner up for the UK’s seventh season of the X-Factor. Rebecca was born in Liverpool and began vocal lessons at the age of 15. In 2010, she joined the X Factor and lost the finale to Matt Cardle. Regardless, Rebecca was still signed to Simon Cowell’s record label Syco and began to work on her debut album. Her first release was her single, ‘Nothing’s Real But Love’ which made it on the British Top Ten and her debut album, ‘Heaven’ landed at number 3 and was certified two time platinum in Ireland and the UK. Shortly after the release, Rebecca toured the UK in 2012 and in 2013, embarked on a U.S. tour. She released her second album by the end of 2013 titled ‘Freedom’ followed by ‘Lady Sings the Blues’ in 2014 then ‘Superwoman’ in 2016. According to Rebecca’s website, she is working on her next body of work and will be touring sometime in 2020.
