Renzo Garcie, a martial artist, was born on the 11th of March, 1967, in Brazil. He competes in the welterweight and middleweight divisions and holds a black belt in the sixth degree of Brazilian jujitsu. In 2008, a film with the title Renzo Garcie: Legacy was released, which featured him as the subject of the film. Before he became famous, he won his first fight, which was against Luiz Augusto Alvareda, and then went on to win three consecutive fights to win the World Combat Championship 1 Tournament. In the past, he has competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the Pride Fighting Championships, K-1, RINGS, and the International Fight League. He also opened his own academy in NY where his gym became a place for high quality Jiu Jitsu. Later, he became the trainer for many famous fighters, including Georges St. Pierre, among others.
