Rey Ruiz is a Cuban singer and musical artist who was born on June 21st 1969 in La Habana, Cuba. He was born and raised in Cuba. His father’s name is Pedro Ruiz.
Rey rose to fame as his debut self-titled studio album earned him several Billboard and Premios Lo Nuestro awards. Rey Ruiz appeared in 1992 achieving a platinum sales certification. Rey is also known as the founder of the musical group Cabaret Tropicana. He performed with trumpeter Arturo Sandoval at the Adrian Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami. Some of Rey’s other albums include Destino (1996) and Mi tentacion (2004). He also appeared on Aymee Nuviola’s 2013 album Corazon Sonero.
