Rhod Gilbert is a comedian born on 18th October 1968, in Carmarthen, Wales. He is best known for appearing in numerous radio and television panel shows. Gilbert started his career as a comedian in 2002 after participating in the Amused Moose Stand-Up. He went on to win several talent competitions over the next 18 months. His first solo show, “1984,” earned him a nomination for the Perrier Newcomer Award.
Gilbert appeared regularly on BBC One’s comedy show “Would I Lie To You?” He also appeared severally on the panel shows “Mock the Week” and “QI,” which were aired on BBC Two. In 2011, 2017, and 2018, he hosted three episodes of the television panel show “Have I Got News for You.” He also starred in eight “Ask Rhod Gilbert” episodes alongside Lloyd Langford and Greg Davies. In September 2014, he presented the comedy panel game show “Never Mind the Buzzcocks.”
