Rico Verhoeven was born in Bergen op Zoom, the Netherlands on April 10, 1989. He is known by the title King of Kickboxing.
Verhoeven started martial arts when he was just five years old by training with his father. In 1996, he began training in kickboxing. Verhoeven made his debut when he was just 16.
He played in the international stage and won fights against Ben Edwards, Filip Verlinden, and Hesdy Gerges. He made his GLORY debut in 2012.
In 2013, he won Glory 7: Milan. In the same year, he won the Glory 11: Chicago Heavyweight Championship Tournament. from 2013 to 2018. He is the Glory Heavyweight World Champion.
He has also won against Gokhan Saki, Daniel Ghita, and Errol Zimmerman.
In 2015, he made his MMA debut in RXF 20. He defeated his opponent in the first round by TKO.
