She then began to post beauty and fashion videos and transitioned into lifestyle content. The underlying theme of all the videos was creating awareness about deaf culture. One of her most popular videos was titled ‘Shit Hearing People Say’ and it gained more than 530,000 views. She is also known for creating the #nomorecraptions campaign which was focused on closed captioning. Rikki’s content became more diverse as her channel gained popularity, covering several topics like disability, child abuse, accessibility and a lot more. Her powerful content and thought-provoking campaigns have also earned her features in several media outlets like Mic News, BBC and Upworthy. She is also the creator of the Deaf Poynters website which is dedicated to advocating deaf rights and creating more awareness about the disability.
