Rina Sawayama Bio
Rina Sawayama is a Japanese-British singer, songwriter, and model born in Niigata, Japan on August 16, 1990. Her family moved to London, England when Rina was five years old and she was raised and currently lives there. While in college at The University of Cambridge she was part of a hip hop group named Lazy Lion. She graduated from The University of Cambridge with a degree in politics. In 2013 she started her solo career and released her debut single titled “Sleeping in Waking.” She followed it up in 2016 with the singles “Where U Are” and “This Time Last Year.” In 2017 she released her debut EP titled RINA. As a model she is signed with Anti Agency and Elite Model Management. In 2018 she was in a campaign for Versus x Versace and Missguided.
