Ritu Arya (born September 17, 1987 in Guildford, United Kingdom) is an English actress and drummer most renowned for her role as Dr. Megan Sharma in the soap opera Doctors (2013-2017). Ritu began acting as a teenager. She participated in several productions in her home area, one of the most notable being Carpe Diem, performed at the majestic Royal National Theater in London.
After securing a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics, Ritu went to the Oxford School of Drama where she trained to be an actress. Ritu made her debut on television in 2013 in the famous soap opera, Doctors. Shortly after, she appeared in another television series titled Tunnels. Since then, Ritu has gone on to feature in eleven more TV series and eight movies including Last Christmas, Red Notice, Barbie, and Lady Parts.
She was nominated for a British Soap Award for her role in the series, Doctors. She gained further recognition for her roles as Flash in the sci-fi series Humans (2016-2018) and Lila Pitts in the Netflix superhero series The Umbrella Academy.
