Riyad Mahrez Bio
Riyad Mahrez is an Algerian footballer from France who plays for Manchester City in the position of a winger. Mahrez is also the captain of the National Football Team of Algeria. Mahrez debuted as a professional player in the year 2009 playing for the Quimper Kerfeunteun Football club from France. He then moved to Le Havre, before joining Leicester City from England. Riyaz helped them win the English Football League Championship. He joined Manchester City in 2018 and in his first season helped them win the English Football League Cup, the Football Association Challenge Cup, and the Premier League. Mahrez debuted internationally for the Algerian National Team in the 2014 FIFA World Cup and played the Africa Cup of Nations from 2015 to 2019. Under his captainship, Algeria won the African cup of nations in the year 2019. He was declared the PFA Players’ Player Of The Year, The Algerian Footballer Of The Year, and CFS Africa Footballer Of The Year between 2015 and 2016.
