Robert Peston is a British journalist, presenter, and author known for his work in economics and politics. He was born in London, England, on April 25, 1960.
Robert began his career in journalism in the early 1980s at the Investors Chronicle, where he covered topics such as finance and investment. He went on to work for several other publications, including The Independent, The Financial Times, and The Sunday Telegraph, before joining the BBC in 2001 as their Business Editor. During his time at the BBC, Peston became well-known for his coverage of the 2008 financial crisis, for which he won several awards.
He later joined ITV as their Political Editor in 2014 and is currently their Political Editor at Large. Robert has been a recurring figure on the shows News at Ten, ITV Evening News, ITV Lunchtime News, Peston on Sunday, and Peston, which also features Anushka Asthana, John McDonnell, and Lisa Nandy.
