Robert Sheehan Bio

Robert Sheehan is an Irish actor who was born on January 7, 1988, in Portlaoise, Country Laois. He began his acting career in 2003 when he participated in the movie “Song for a Raggy Boy”. Since then, he never stopped acting. Later that year, he appeared in two short films called “A Dublin Story” and “An Cuainín”.

In 2004, he got is first regular role on the TV series “Foreign Exchange”. In 2005 he became a regular on “Young Blades” and then made several one-time appearances on different shows. In 2009, he got his first starring role in the movie “Cherrybomb” alongside Rupert Grint and James Nesbitt. In 2011, he got another starring role, this time opposite Ben Barnes and Krysten Ritter in the movie “Killing Bono”. He also appeared on the series “Misfits”, “Me and Mrs Jones” and “Love/Hate”. He started to increase his popularity in 2013 when he starred in the popular teenage movie “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” alongside Jamie Campbell-Bower and Lily Collins. However, his most important project is his role as Klaus Hargreeves in the 2019 Netflix series “The Umbrella Academy”.
