American director and screenwriter Robert Lee Zemeckis is popularly known as the innovator of visual effects. He is famous for making crowd-pleasing films using astounding special-fx. Zemeckis got his B.A. degree in filmmaking in 1973 from the University of Southern California where he met Robert Gale. Gale and Zemeckis together made several hit films. Their first full-length feature film, ‘I Wanna Hold Your Hand’ was released in 1978. Zemeckis also worked for the legendary director Steven Spielberg on the film ‘1941’. The films that got Zemeckis the success he was looking for is ‘Back To The Future’ and its sequel. These won over the audience and still amaze the contemporary filmmakers, as they featured hi-tech visual effects by using the limited technology they had at that time. Zemeckis finally won the Academy Award for Best Director for ‘Forest Grump’ (1994). Robert Zemeckis is coming with his latest film, ‘The Witches’ in October 2020.
