Robin Thede is an American actress, comedy writer and sketch comedian. She was born on the 27th of July, 1979, in Spencer, Iowa, US. These studied Journalism and African-American studies in Northwestern University, before studying theatre. She started her career in comedy in the group Cleo's Apartment. She soon landed a job as a writer “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore”. In 2015, she became the head writer on the show, and she was the first African-American woman to do so. She also wrote for “The Queen Latifah Show” and “Real Husbands of Hollywood” on BET. In 2013, she appeared in the comedy “A Haunted House” starring J. B. Smoove. She wrote and performed in the sketch television show “In the Flow with Affion Crockett”. She holds writing credits in many Award events as well as television shows. She also co-hosted a program titled “The Voice of Reason” on Jamie Foxx’s radio channel, and in 2017 she began hosting her own talk show “The Rundown with Robin Thede”.
