Robin Tunney is an American actress born in Chicago in 1972. She trained at the Chicago Academy for the Arts in Chicago, and at age 19 she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. After playing some small roles on TV, Tunney got her film debut in Allan Moyle’s comedy-drama “Empire Records” (1995), and got her first starring role in “Niagara, Niagara,” opposite Henry Thomas. In 1997 she was awarded the Best Actress Award at the 1997 Venice International Film Festival, and two years later she starred on “End of Days” opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. From 2008 to 2015, Tunney portrayed Teresa Lisbon in “The Mentalist.” After Tunney consolidated her status as a Hollywood actress, she made guest-starring appearances on TV shows like “House” and “Prison Break,” and was also a guest on “Celebrity Poker Showdown.”
