Christopher Lindsey, popularly known as Roderick Strong, was born on July 26, 1983, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, U.S. He is an American professional wrestler most renowned for his work in WWE. He has also wrestled in other independent promotions including Ring of Honor (ROH) and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG).
Strong began his wrestling career in 2000, working for various independent promotions in the United States. In 2004, he was signed by ROH and wrestled for over 10 years with several championships under his belt.
In 2016, Strong signed with WWE in 2016 and wrestled in their developmental territory, NXT. On October 19, 2016, Strong made his NXT debut, teaming up with Austin Aries in the first round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament, and defeating Tucker Knight and Otis Dozovic.
At NXT, Strong became a one-time NXT North American Champion and a two-time NXT Tag Team Champion. His favorite signature moves include the backhand chop, dropkick, double underhook suplex, multiple rib breakers, Olympic slam, Superplex, and multiple backbreaker variations including the half nelson and the power-breaker. He is known as the Messiah of the Backbreaker.
