Rodney Carrington is an American actor, stand-up comedian and country music artist. He was born as Rodney Scott Carrington on the 19th of October, 1968, in Texas, U.S. He started his career working as a comedian in Texas, and he gained recognition through radio programs like “The Bob and Tom Show”. His music career was launched when he released his first album, titled “Hangin’ with Rodney”, in 1998. It reached No. 73 on Top Country Albums. His second album, named “Morning Wood” was a hit, and it reached the Top 20 Album, as well as Gold Certification. One of the songs of the album, “More of a Man”, peaked at No. 71 on Hot Country Singles & Track. He released in 2004 a “Greatest Hits” album, which included two unreleased songs until then: “Put Your Clothes Back On” and “Things We Didn't Know.” It reached No. 3 on the Billboard Top Comedy Albums and No. 11 on the Billboard Top Country albums, and it became Carrington's first Platinum-certified album. Carrington also starred in his own sitcom “Rodney”, produced by ABC.
