Rodrigo Amarante was born in Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on September 6, 1976. His birth name is Rodrigo Amarante de Castro Neves. Amarante is the founding member of Los Hermanos and also the samba group Orquestra Imperial. Under Los Hermanos, he helped in pushing four albums, Ventura, 4, Bloco do Eu Sozinho and the band’s self-titled album. The Rolling Stone Magazine elected him as one of the 100 best musicians in Brazilian history. In 2014, he released his debut album Cavalo. He went on tour in different countries to promote his album. He was behind the film score of 7 Days In Entebbe. Amarante has also worked on Asthma and The Age of Adaline. He received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music nomination for his work on “Tuyo” featured in the Netflix series Narcos.
