Hailing from Oakland, California, United States, Rogue Wave is an American band that performs indie-rock and lo-fi music. The band consists of Zach Rogue on vocals, guitar, and keyboard, Jon Monahan on guitar and keyboard, Masanori Christianson on bass guitar and keyboard, and Patrick Spurgeon on drums and percussion. Rogue was formed in 2002, and the following year they released their debut studio project Out of the Shadow. Their discography includes the hit singles Eyes, Lake Michigan, California, Let My Love Open the Door, Bette Davis Eyes, and the albums Asleep at Heaven's Gate, Permalight, and Delusions of Grand Fur. Rogue Wave’s music was featured in the album Indie Hits alongside Florence + Machine, Empire of the Sun, Lorde, and Tove Lo.
