Rohit Gurunath Sharma Bio
Rohit Gurunath Sharma, born on the 30th April 1987, is an Indian cricketer who has played for his country at the international level. Rohit plays first-class cricket for Mumbai in the Indian Premier League. In limited-overs cricket, Rohit is the current vice-captain of the Indian side. In the Indian Cricket Premier League, he is now the captain of the Mumbai Indians.
Rohit Sharma is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off-break and is the only batsman in ODI cricket history to score three double centuries. Rohit has earned the moniker 'Hitman' for his aggressive batting style.
His career records include; 264 highest individual scores in ODIs. Rohit is the only player with three double centuries in ODIs, and In all versions of cricket, India is second in terms of hundreds (other than Suresh Raina). Also, he holds the record for five centuries in a single ICC World Cup.
Career awards and accolades Rohit has to his name include; 'Arjuna Award" in 2015, the Golden Bat award for recording the most runs in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. In addition, Rohit Sharma received the country's highest sporting distinction, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, in 2020.
Rohit is married to his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, with a daughter named Samaira Sharma.
