Roman Josi is a Swiss professional ice hockey player who plays as a left defense in the National Hockey League. He was born in Bern, Switzerland, on June 1, 1990. Roman began his professional career in 2006 when he joined the Swiss team SC Bern, and he made his National Hockey League debut in 2008 when he was selected by the Nashville Predators in the NHL Draft. Throughout his time with the Predators, Roman has played alongside Filip Forsberg, Juuse Saros, Matt Duchene, and Ryan Johansen. His career highlights include the James Norris Memorial Trophy and NHL First All-Star Team. Since making his debut for the Swiss men’s ice hockey team, he has been a regular on the national squad.
