Ron Howard Bio

Ron Howard is an American actor and filmmaker.  Best known for playing Opie Taylor for eight years in the sitcom The Andy Griffith Show, she then went on to play Richie in the sitcom Happy days for seven years.  Acting from 1956, he was a part of the Harrison Ford starring film American Graffiti before pursuing a directing career.

With directing credits that include Cocoon, Apollo 13 and A Beautiful Mind, for which he won two Academy Awards, one for Best Director and one for Best Picture. His next films included the thriller The Da Vinci Code and the drama Frost/Nixon for which he was again nominated for an Academy Award. His latest project is Solo: A Star Wars Story, released in mid 2018.
