Ronald Mandel Lott, better known as Ronnie Lott, is an American retired professional football player who played as a cornerback and safety in the NFL. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States, on May 8, 1959. Ronnie spent his formative years playing for Dwight D. Eisenhower High School and the University of Southern California, and he turned professional in 1981 when he was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the NFL Draft. He had a decorated career with the 49ers with whom he won four Super Bowl Championships playing alongside legends like Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Dwight Clark, and Steve Young. Ronnie went on to play for the Los Angeles Raiders and New York Jets before his retirement in 1995.
