Jeffery Lee Johnson Jr. (who’s known by his online moniker Roscoe Dash) is an American rapper, actor and director who was born on April 2nd 1990 in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. He is the youngest of five siblings and he began composing his lyrics at the age of twelve.
Jeffery once formed a rap group called Black Boiz aka B.O.B with his brother back in high school. He used to go with the stage name ATL and Shadowfade before settling for Roscoe Dash. His debut album Ready Set Go! arrived in November 2010 while his sophomore full length effort J.U.I.C.E followed the next year in 2011. He was also featured on Big Sean’s Marvin & Chardonnay single which went Gold as well as on Waka Flocka Flame’s No Hands which went 3X Platinue and rose to Club Banger of the Year at the 2011 BET Awards. As an actor and director, Jeffery is known for The Watch (2012), Step Up (2010) and Mishon: Turn it Up (feat. Lil Mama and Roscoe Dash) (2010).
