Ross Kemp is an English actor, author, and investigative journalist born in Barking, Essex, England on July 21, 1964. He is best known for his role as Grant Mitchell in the soap opera EastEnders. In 1985 he made his debut on television in the show Emmerdale and continued landing roles in the shows London’s Burning, Birds of a Feather, Screen Two, The Chief, The Manageress, EastEnders, Without Motive, Ultimate Force, A Line in the Sand, Extras, Top Gear, In Defense and more. In 1987 he made his debut in film in the movie Playing Away and has also had a role in the film Quick Slip Me a Bride. Kemp has also hosted several documentary series, including Ross Kemp: Alive in Alaska, Ross Kemp on Gangs, Ross Kemp in Afghanistan, Ross Kemp in Search of Pirates, Ross Kemp’s Britain, Ross Kemp: Behind the Story and others. He has also written several books that tie-in to his television documentaries. He released his first fictional story in 2011 titled Devil to Play. Throughout his career he has been nominated for a number of awards and has won three British Soap Opera Awards, an Inside Soap Award, a BAFTA Award and more.
