Roy Choi Bio
Roy Choi is a masterchef who was born on February 24th 1970. He was born in South Korea and raised in Los Angeles, California. Roy also has a daughter named Kaelyn. Roy is also a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. He and other world-famous chefs like Wolfgang Puck gathered at the Hotel Bel-Air to conceive new items for the hotel’s menu in 2013.
Roy rose to fame as a food truck pioneer as the founder of the world-renowned gourmet taco truck Kogi. He has been the featured chef at high-profile venues like the Beverly Hilton and Embassy Suites. His career inspired the 2014 film Chef that was directed by Jon Favreau on which he was also a technical Adviser. Roy also co-hosted the Netflix cooking series The Chef Show with Jon Favreau.
