Rozes is an American electronic pop singer, songwriter and musician. She was born Elizabeth Mencel on the 14th of April 1993, in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania, U.S. She grew up surrounded by gospel music and she started learning piano at age six. She also learned to play clarinet, guitar, violin, among a variety of instruments. She made her debut in 2014, by writing Just A Gent’s hit song “Limelight”, in which she was also featured. The song was a total success and it reached #1 on Hype Machine. She also co-wrote and was featured on the hit “Roses” by The Chainsmokers, which peaked at number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. Mencel released her debut EP “Burn Wild” in 2016. Two years later, she released her second EP “I Don’t Know Where I’m Going Going, But I’m On My Way”, which was released through Photo Finish Records. In 2019, her song “Halfway There” became the official anthem of the Women’s March on NYC.
