Ruben Samuel Fleischer is an award-winning American film director and producer best known for directing the action film Venom. He was born in Washington, D.C., United States, on October 31, 1974. He began his Hollywood career assisting other directors and producers as he made his way through the film industry. He got his first major directing job on the 2009 film Zombieland which featured Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Bill Murray, Woody Harrelson, and Abigail Breslin. Ruben has since directed the blockbuster films Venom, The Mule, Zombieland: Double Tap, and Gangster Squad. He has been the executive producer on the TV series The Bold Type, Bhaag Beanie Bhaag, Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory, and Rob & Big. He won an Audience Award at the Sitges - Catalonian International Film Festival.
