Ruben Loftus-Cheek Bio
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a professional football player who currently plays for Premier League club Chelsea. Loftus-Cheek, who plays as a midfielder, was born on 23rd January 1996 and started his career with the Chelsea youth setup. He was promoted to the senior team in 2014 by the then-manager Jose Mourinho. During the 2016 – 17 season, under the stewardship of Antonio Conte, he played as a striker alongside Diego Costa.
In July 2017, he was sent on a season-long deal to Premier League club Crystal Palace. His impressive performance at Crystal Palace saw him receive a call-up to the England squad by Gareth Southgate in November 2017. He returned to Chelsea for the 2018 – 19 season and was included in the first team premier league squad for that season. In July 2019, he signed a new contract that would see him stay at Chelsea for a further 5 years. The following year, he went on load to Fulham before returning to Chelsea again at the end of the season.
